Classes 1, 2, and 3 Will Be Eliminated, Here Are the BPJS Kesehatan Premium Rates for 2025

Printable.biz.id - At the beginning of the year, rumors about the elimination of BPJS Kesehatan Classes 1, 2, and 3 have become a hot topic among the public. This plan aligns with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 59 of 2024.

Additionally, this policy supports the implementation of the Standard Inpatient Class System (KRIS), which will replace BPJS Kesehatan Classes 1, 2, and 3 starting in July 2025, with revised premium rates as outlined in the regulation.

This policy also serves as an amendment to Presidential Regulation No. 82 of 2018 on Health Insurance, aiming to ensure the sustainability of the national health insurance program.

Under the new premium rates, participants are divided into groups, including Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI), Wage-Earning Workers (PPU), and Non-Wage-Earning Workers (PBPU). However, this regulation is not yet effective as of January 2025.

There are rumors suggesting that the regulation will come into effect in July 2025, during which Classes 1, 2, and 3 will be abolished and replaced with the Standard Inpatient Class System (KRIS). The goal is to provide equal services for all participants.

Before the new regulation is implemented, BPJS Kesehatan participants currently pay premiums as follows:

Class 1: IDR 150,000 per person per month
Class 2: IDR 100,000 per person per month
Class 3: IDR 35,000 per person per month
